New Era of MP3 Player

Last year market share of the digital music player is dominated by iPod. But now, we will see something interesting competition in this market. Many digital music player competed with iPod such as Creative Labs, Cube , etc. Especially made by Asia country , Japan, China and Taiwan. And if you are a music fan who likes to download songs on a daily basis, you simply can't ignore this news as long as the sound is good.

Microsoft has announced its new project last month and revealed one very unique feature that no other portable music has yet. Since then Zune MP3 player has been one of the hottest rumors in electronic products today.

Zune's Wi-Fi feature is now known to those who have heard of Zune, and this is the feature that seems so promising for Zune's success. It is nothing really new for the head-to-head match between Microsoft and Apple, but why Microsoft decided to start the project now?

So far, Microsoft has not said official how their strategy would go to compete with Apple. We only know their outline plans and some of Zune's features. But it is obvious that they want to invade into that market. They have already spent hundreds of millions of dollars into its new project, looking ahead for the success with a long term plan.

The retail price has set for the first Zune. It comes with 30GB capacity, and the same price as iPod 30GB also. The competition is already begun. This is a great news for the consumers, the music fans. There was a survey at one of the popular portals on MP3 players, comaparing to several brands for their prices, features, and supports. Though iPod is the most popular MP3 player today, the rating for it was surprisingly rather low. iPod was ranked third. Regardless of their great features and popularity, the price was the cause of its ranking.

So, Microsoft's joining to this competition will definitely affect the current competition among the MP3 player companies, resulting in more affordable prices. Besides, the Wi-Fi feature is just too attractive. This feature can let you access the Internet access and Microsoft's online music database from anywhere to download songs. Then you can share a song with your friends anywhere. Their other possible features may include the capability of game play, just like PSP or Nintendo DS. Even if Microsoft can not compete with Apple or other companies with Zune, things will be great. The competition always creates a better product and service. To music fans and the consumers, it doesn't matter too much who would win in this market really as long as they can get the benefit from it. But it is possible that Microsoft's success will encourage Apple to produce better technology and quality for iPod. It's not bad idea to support Microsoft Zune for that reason then. After all, it would be so nice to get affordable MP3 player with great technology.
